“Matthew 28:19- Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”
The children in the orphanage are being raised in a family setting. It is our desire to have all of the children know that they aren’t being raised as orphans, but as part of a large family. The children are being taught to view each other as brothers and sisters.
The children are being discipled and taught sound biblical principles on a daily basis by their “Papi Oscar”. Oscar is seeking to raise all of the children in the orphanage exactly the same way as he is raising his own. He makes no difference in any of these children. He truly looks at all of them as his very own.
The Victorious Kids Orphanage is staffed by Haitians so that the children are being raised up in a cultural context that will enable them to be effective in impacting their own villages when they get older. This enables these particular children the opportunity to grow up in a family atmosphere as well as in a village that hopefully he or she will be able to impact over the years.
The home is currently being staffed by 4 Haitian ladies that the children know as “mommies” and one full-time security guard.
Isaiah 8:16 – Bind up the testimony and seal the law among my disciples.
While in Haiti in early January of 2011, the Lord gave us clear direction through this verse. He has clearly spoken to us to go make disciples of these children. He has shown that if we will go make disciples of these children, they can go out into the village of TiTanyen, and the country of Haiti and make a real difference for the Kingdom. God has shown us that if these children can be discipled and learn to pray – He will meet their provision.
For this reason, none of the children at Victorious Kids Orphanage are adoptable. This is a vision that is shared and supported by all members of the VKO family.
We stand firmly on the biblical principals of the Great Commission.
Matthew 28:19 – Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
